The Sterloff Trucks...Mid 1940's Peterbilt and Kenworth

This post is dedicated to the two old abandoned trucks that were on a waterfront acreage, sitting idle for approximately 60 years. There were dozens of other pieces of gear on the property...all very interesting in their own right. These two old gems...were my faves. You are either moving forward, or going backwards. If you think that you are standing still, taking a break, or just enjoying the view, You are soon to get run over by those on the move forward. Will they come back to see if you are OK? Nope. And so it goes in the logging business. Innovate or die. Sounds simple, but what does it really mean? Do you...  go big or go home Stay small and nimble Go big and bully the market Gamble big, win big Gamble big, lose big Get new machines Fix the old machines Hourly or contract Kenworth, Hayes, Pacific or Mack Five, six or seven days a week Camp job, fly in, boat in Fix your own iron, or contract it out or Stay in bed and pull the covers up. And God forbid the log market should turn against your bet.
