You are either moving forward, or going backwards. If you think that you are standing still, taking a break, or just enjoying the view, You are soon to get run over by those on the move forward. Will they come back to see if you are OK? Nope. And so it goes in the logging business. Innovate or die. Sounds simple, but what does it really mean? Do you...  go big or go home Stay small and nimble Go big and bully the market Gamble big, win big Gamble big, lose big Get new machines Fix the old machines Hourly or contract Kenworth, Hayes, Pacific or Mack Five, six or seven days a week Camp job, fly in, boat in Fix your own iron, or contract it out or Stay in bed and pull the covers up. And God forbid the log market should turn against your bet.
