The Coolest Forklift Truck

Its a good thing that this video is worth the effort because the upload failed TWICE. This unique machine needed a video to fully comprehend what it is that you are looking at. I don't usually do videos for old iron, but this is a special case. This is late April in the BC interior, shorts and T-shirt weather, while it rained in Vancouver.
Also..I was wondering after the fact ...does this thing have one forward gear and four reverse...or did the builders do something about that? ( when it is going forward in forklift mode )

    The axle gets flipped around so it doesn't run in reverse when the forward gears are in use.

    Awesome...thanks for that. I just returned from a trip to Vancouver Island. I found another "truck" forklift there.

    It'll be under the title "Frankie the Forklift" in a day or two.

I wrote this song several years after my friend, Brian Fitzpatrick died. Press play in the above Youtube video. For my friend, Brian Fitzpatrick ( Fitz) by Mike Pearson Brian's son, Sam Fitzpatrick was killed on a Kiewit corporation project in the steep mountains of Toba Inlet in 2009. Fitz and I went into battle against the giant American corporation when they refused to take any responsibility for Sam's death. Fitz fought heroically, and with dogged determination. The battles with the WorksafeBC system...The very flawed WCAT appeal process all took a toll.All the challenges were met with intelligence, good humour and the belief that we were on the right side. In the 90's I got into scuba diving to solve some problems at work. I had been  building docks,boathouses and the like for a few years (loved every minute of it)...when it came time to do various underwater chores...the divers that got hired were just not up to the task....they were good divers,but not great at working underwater.
