Abandoned 550 Timberjack Log Skidder

Several decades ago, someone drove this Timberjack skidder into it's last parking spot....hit the kill-switch and walked away. Maybe the nature of the business changed or the ambition wilted...could be that it was too much trouble to keep running...but there it rests. The forest that it was meant to harvest, grew up around it in an attempt to devour the old enemy. It certainly looks like a good candidate for a rebuild if the right person was so inclined. But then again, it's just one of the dozens of old West Coast logging relics that are parked on this property. Spring has sprung  The grass has riz Time to get back to the Lost treasures biz May 5/2013 return to the "Lost Treasure Trove of Abandoned Logging Equipment"...this time with a chainsaw. We hacked our way into 3 machine sites to get better photos and video.  I've heard stories of people using computers to hack into things...but trust me...that wasn't going to work here today. Although...I do remember times when I was tempted to take a chainsaw to my computer. I don't know how many Mack LRSW trucks still exist...but I'm guessing it's not many.
